As Outdoorsman we take it for granted. We live in a very special time. Where we hunt for fun and not for food. We hunt for the challenge and the experience. Not for the substance.
We are often jealous of our gAs Outdoorsman we take it for granted. We live in a very special time. Where we hunt for fun and not for food. We hunt for the challenge and the experience. Not for the substance. We are often jealous of our grandfathers and our Elders Because we believe that they had a better and more lucrative hunting experience than we did. Although yes, there are more people and less lands to hunt. \nAnd it may seem difficult. It’s always been difficult. When the Native Indians had to hunt for food, you think it was easy with a stick and a string? Trying to sneak up and kill an antelope or an elk. No, heck. No it wasn’t easy. And they were doing it to survive. Most Wildlife populations reached a low sometime ago in the 70s 80s 90s But conservation efforts and money towards Wildlife has greatly helped a rebound. Lots of the herds, especially in the United States are doing much better. I live for example in Oregon. A place where elk once roamed then disappeared due to overhunting and poaching and other people related activitiesWe live in an age where many people believe that hunting is cruel and unethical. But yet we’ve done it since the beginning of time and nature has always been cruel. There will all be there will always be predators and prey. I hope that people come to understand that balance. It can be a good thing. Please help educate people in the right way post good content about the outdoors about what you know that may help someone else. Together hunting will last Alone It will fall apart. And we will have a future of Beyond burgers and Beyond chicken wings. Not elk steaks. Please focus on what’s important not the size of the horns. Not the size of the antlers. But doing the right thing. Not shooting the deer that is questionably on private land. Not taking a shot at a turkey that may lead to a flying off an ending up with an arrow in it at somebody’s yard. A deer is not going to change your life. But hunting and fishing will, Focus on what’s important in the bigger picture I hope everyone has a great fall and a great 2019 season. Best of wishes Morgan Murphy
