Hayley’s Traeger Smoked Trout

Recipe works for trout, steelhead or salmon. Good for up to four medium sized fillets.

The Brine

2 tablespoon, brown sugar

2 tablespoon, honey

2 tablespoon, garlic

2 tablespoon, apple cider vinegar

2 tablespoon, worsheshire

Half stick butter

Hayley prepping fillets.

Rub together in Ziploc or other container and let sit for 2 to 12 hours.

Warm traeger to 225 then smoke for 1.5 to 2 hrs.

Glaze optional

In a pan medium heat

Melt 2 tablespoon of butter

Same amount or more of honey

Splash of beer

Heat and mix together until it has combined then pour over fish 1/2 he before finished.
